I shall start my new blog of 2012 by looking back at 2011. Ohhhhhhh 2011. It was the biggest year of my life so far. There was tons of good, tons of bad and a bit of otherwise. After jumping the hurdles, climbing out from the holes and catching my breath after the highs, I realized that I really really missed writing.
Specifically, I realized that I missed blogging.
I missed the community and the chronicling of my life, and following the lives of people I would have never met otherwise. I missed having a place to spill my thoughts and think things through. I tried to keep up with writing in 2011, albeit I didn’t try very hard, but just couldn’t manage it. So here I am in 2012, with my new shiny blogging pants on.
So what is this blog? I don’t know, I’ll figure that out later. But I do know what it’s not. It’s not one of those popular themey blogs that are so cool with the kids nowadays.
This isn’t a mommy blog – my uterus is for display purposes only.
This isn’t a foodie blog – I don’t cook.
This isn’t a photo blog – I don’t own a camera that isn’t built into my blackberry.
This isn’t a technology blog – smashing the refresh button repeatedly is my general computer fix.
It’s just a blog. Mine. I like to write and I like to read what I write (oh sure, like you don’t have an ego?). If you’re easily offended, you probably won’t like me. That’s okay — I’ll probably be wondering why you have such a stick up your ass.
But if you like a blunt opinion and lots of swearing with the occasional tidbit of sentiment and self reflection, then welcome.
Oh, and snarkable? Snark and adorable. Not in equal parts.
